Greetings From Colorado Backporch,

(Let me preface this with a note that my husband is not here to proof read and catch all my blunders in writing, so please overlook any blunders this time.)

Okay now that school is finished for my girls, (YEAH) I want to concentrate on the website. As soon as I can schedule some of my husband's time we will be making some changes to the site.

My friend Louann is putting together a fun new  Free Pattern. Louann was a math teacher for years, she has a project she gave her students that she is adapting for a quilt. Our start date is July 1, 2007 so check back to see what she has.

We are working on a few new ideas. If you have any suggestion of something you would like to see or have seen on another sites please email us with suggestion to peggy@coloradobackporch.com

The other big news that has happened in our lives is that our son is getting married this summer. I flew to Utah, where he lives, and had a wonderful weekend with him and his bride to be. This is our first wedding, so any helpful hints on how to stay sane are appreciated. I am lucky that he is a boy so my part is the smaller part. We will be hosting an open house in Parker a week after the wedding so that will be a challenge to me.

It was great to see all of you at the Denver show. Karen and her beautiful red jacket stopped by to visit. The jacket was even better in person then in the pictures.

We still have some  Clearance Fabrics left but they are going fast. Regular price of $9.25 on clearance for $6.25.

NEW SHOWS

We are doing some new shows this year, they in Colorado. I am staying closer to home to spend more time with my girls (not to metion doing a wedding).

One of the shows we are doing is with a local quilting group, the Firehouse Quilts of Colorado, Inc. They are a non-profit charity group that makes and donates snuggle quilts to local fire departments, hospitals, battered women's shelters and victim advocate offices. The show is on August 10 & 11, 2007.
For more info on this show including entering a quilt go to www.firehousequilts.org

If you want to see us in person check below for more show listings.

Kits - This is our most popular pattern from Elisa's Backporch Design. The kit includes the pattern and the fabric for 64X64 quilt. The kit is in the colors of the pictured quilt on the pattern. We finally have lots of fabric for this quilt. Coming soon kits to make a Queen size quilt. Check out the KITS online.
